Students in Miss. Garfield's 2nd grade class are working with their reading partners to read all types of nonfiction texts. They are learning how to identify key details about the text and share new learning in their own words. Students each read a different article and reported their findings to their partner.

For Valentine's Day, students in Miss Brown's first grade are practicing positive affirmations. When students learn to use positive affirmations, they increase their self-efficacy, self-regulation, and task engagement, as well as successfully manage social challenges. These amazing first graders completed a writing activity by writing positive "I can", "I am", and "I have" statements for Valentine's Day!
